Cominginto the Continental Finals Europe, you had a pretty rough way throughthe Extreme Masters III Main Round – Where a relegation match againstSoltec had to decide whether you should advance or not. Besides beingin a tough group, what was the reason behind placing fourth?
Youare right, the group was tough but on the other hand we didn’t do well.We started out with some scheduling miscommunications by lettingourselves play 4on5 against the Norwegian team Excello, a team weshould defeat rather easy with full strength.
Firstlineup change for fnatic, in more than two years took place asGeT_RiGhT replaced ins. Describe the feeling of letting ins go afterplaying together for such a long period.
Itwas something that was needed, 2009 is more competitive than ever. Andjust because we let him go does not necessary mean our friendship end.Fnatic was always based and friendship, it was no fights or whateverbehind the addition of GeT_RiGhT and Gux, we just felt we need newblood while Oskar and Oscar felt it was time to move on. Fairy talescontinue.
Thelineup change continued this week as you announced the departure ofArchi and the arrival of Gux. Just one week prior to the ContinentalFinals Europe, how did this affect your team?
Westill had one week of practice together and the major part of this weekon bootcamp. We will be ready for battle and we will win.
Howis GeT_RiGhT fitting in with the rest of the team? The scene stillclaims his short time in SK Gaming was a matter of him clicking withthe rest of the team.
Heis fitting in as well as everybody else. The story behind his swiftdeparture from SK gaming seems like a cover-up story in my ears.
Replacing ins and Archi, how much has been change in the fnatic playbook, in order to fit in the two new players?
Alot actually, with their input and knowledge we can produce some newrounds. It’s just an extra flavour to our game which will be reallyuseful these days since our old aggressive fnatic style feels a bitoutdated.
Obviouslyit is a whole new team fnatic we will see hitting the streets nextweek, do you feel back on track or does your gut feeling tell you it istoo soon to tell?
I think and hope we can do really well; we have nothing to blame our preparations. As I stated, we will be ready.
Cominginto the tournament, do you consider the team of 2008 mTw being wellstudied? You as one of many experience the actions of being wellstudied, with your success in 2007. Can you ever prepare well enough?
mTwhad their part of the glory 2008, they are an amazing team but they arenot outstanding. It´s possible to stay on top for a long while, I guessboth us and the Danes have proved this with top3 records in the past 3years. But in my opinion CS is getting more and more even. Obviously bykeep hitting these top3 placing you will have more matches your enemiescan study you, therefore mTw will more studied than any other teamsince they were the best team of 2008.
Your expectations for the Continental Finals Europe, who will be the team(s) to watch, top 3 and where will fnatic end up?
Ithink we will be among top3, we need some match training but if we justmake it to the Main finals I think we can do really really well there.Other contenders for the medals are probably mouz and mTw.Finally I want to thank MSI for their continuous support of fnatic andof course Bestpoker, SteelSeries, CoolerMaster and UGAME to making itpossible for us to explore the world by shooting headshots.
